AFO Christmas Concert 2017
Last night was another extremely successful AFO Christmas concert The night featured many of our favourite tunes. As it was our annual Christmas concert we did also play our favourite Christmas arrangements of Jingle Bells and our Christmas Medley arranged by our musical director David Moore. We also had performances from some of the orchestra’s resident Scottish dancers, and as always we had our Piper begin and end both halves of our concert, this was a debut for our new piper. The evening also included a raffle, ice cream, drinks and of course of merchandise table which featured our new 2018 calendar. At the Christmas concert in Ayr Town Hall we presented the money raised from the Spirit of Hope concert to the renal cancer research charity for £3250. Thanks to everyone who helped make this possible. The orchestra also played the song Spirit of Hope composed by Alistair McCulloch.
