Yokohama: Cups, China Town and Ceilidh.
Today we loaded up our buses with our instruments and set off for the city of Yokohama, Japan’s second biggest city.
Mount Fuji: Precipitation, Picasso, Pirates
Today began in very heavy rain and even in some parts of Japan a weather warning, we felt quite at home!
Day 4: Temples, Tarintino & Tunes.
Day four began in a similarly cheery fashion with another AFO birthday.

Summer Concert 2019
As always, our summer concert is a much-anticipated event for the orchestra and our community, and this year certainly did not disappoint.

Abseil
In our efforts to bridge the remaining budget gap for The Rising Sun Tour we will have a final fundraising event by abseiling down the exciting 150 foot high sandstone cliff at Mauchline Gorge
Japanese Themed Ceilidh
Saturday night was out Japanese themed ceilidh, it was a good chance for players and their friends and families to get together ahead of the tour and promises to be a great night for all that attended.
Arran Annual Trip
This past weekend saw the orchestra’s annual visit to Arran, this year along with a fantastic concert the players spent time rock climbing
Troon Concert
Another warm reception in Troon for the orchestra, who are sounding great ahead of their tour to Japan.

Craft Beer Tasting
It was a different type of fundraising event for the orchestra last night as some parents of players took part in a craft beer tasing.
Boydfield Gardens Concert
It was an energetic concert in the sun at Bodyfield Gardens, we even had a few people dance along to the orchestra.

Catalan Guests
Our Catalonian friends have arrived safely tonight and have met up with their AFO host families. Great to see the friendships made last June being reunited. It was another fantastic show tonight from some extremely talented young musicians, and our friends from Spain. While they are here we had a Campfire Ceilidh with our Catalan...Culzean and Burn’s Museum
It was a two concert day for the orchestra as groups played at both Culzean Castle and The Robert Burns Birthplace Museum.
