AFO take to the skies. Or at least off the ground as the crane lifts us up above Ayr to Zip slide across the river and safely (hopefully) land on the other side.
It was an early morning for some as preparation took place for the big event, but as people started arriving and a small crowd began to gather to watch the excitement and nerves rose.
The first to take the plunge was our very own Wallace Galbraith, followed by our musical director David Moore, Tour Adult Douglas Clark and then myself. We had over 50 people take part from the orchestra and all seemed to love the experience, many commenting that they wanted to go back up and do it again, even those who were very nervous before hand.
At the landing side of the river, the sliders were met with a group of orchestra members playing in the shade, an ice cream van, food truck and the photo printing tent.
It was a great morning and I hope all the jumpers enjoyed themselves and raised a lot of money in the process.
I wonder what we will attempt next.
