Saturday night was one of our biggest events on the calendar, the Summer Ceilidh and BBQ. The Troon Parish Church Hall was packed with orchestra players, parents and friends for an evening of fun and dancing.
Our band for the evening was the talented Glenpark Ceilidh Band leading us through the dances and entertaining us while we caught our breaths.
The food was wonderfully prepared by our Tour Adults, we had a selection of burgers and sausages, along with home made chilli, potato salad, coleslaw and much more. Mancini’s Ice Cream Factory of Troon provided a delicious dessert.
The night ended as all AFO ceilidhs usually do, in one giant circle singing Auld Lang Syne.
I hope everyone who came enjoyed their evening and a huge thanks to all the tour adults for helping, especially to our organisers John and Catriona McHugh.
