Day Six – To Infinity and Beyond

Day Six – To Infinity and Beyond

Today was our first proper day in Ohio. After a wonder breakfast of pancakes and scrambled eggs we meet in the car park and drove about 20 minutes down the road to the National Museum of the United States Air Force. We spent hours walking around learning and seeing the massive collection of planes, uniforms, and rockets. There was so much to see and so much history in one place. Personally, I most enjoyed see the gallery of presidents Air Force One Jets.

Lunch was eaten in a gazebo outside of the museum, this is it was the familiar taste of domino’s pizza, just like being back home. We then had slightly more time in the museum before heading back to spend some time with our host families. My group played in the trampoline with the hosts’ kids, had ice cream sundaes and watching a movie, it was a relaxing afternoon and was definitely needed.

The evening was spent in a local park with all the orchestra and their host families coming together for food, music, dancing and games. It was great to meet new people, and have fun. There was Frisbee, rugby, football volleyball and beanbag toss. Everyone had a great evening. Another perfect AFO evening that is a big part of the memories that we take away from a tour like this.

Quote of the day – “Whats for lunch?” “Pizza…again.”
