A message from the Director

As I'm sure you all know, sadly Alistair McCulloch will be standing down as our Musical Director after the Christmas Concert. In addition, due to family and work pressures, Blair Parham, although still able to attend occasional rehearsals will not be with us on a regular basis. I'd like to thank both these gentlemen for the invaluable efforts they have made to the development of the Orchestra over the past years and wish them all success in the future.

I have asked that man of many musical talents David Moore to take over the role of Assistant Musical Director and know you will give him every support. The Leader of AFO this year is Rachel Home while Calum Park takes over as Leader of the 2nd Violins - well done to them both!

PERFORMANCES

Many of our performances involve small groups of players. It's really important that, when you receive a letter inviting you to play, you check and let Wallace know QUICKLY if you cannot play so that another player can be asked.
